Getting Into It
January 4th 2008 04:29
I'll freely admit that for the last month, in fact starting December first, I have been completely slacking off. I wasn't going to much school but now I'm just slacking off in all areas of my life and it's something I need to stop doing.
My goal is to write fifty thousand words every month. That isn't difficult, but it's not easy to maintain that. I'm pretty confident that I CAN do it, all I need is dedication. I've been letting things interfere that shouldn't be allowed to interfere with my writing-namely, my love life.
Screw that thing. As of this moment in time, my first priority is writing. For life. I have come to the realization that the only path I can take with any shred of happiness is the writer's path, and to be independent as soon as possible, I need to begin on that path now.
So here I am. I am promising myself a career in writing, and I know that I can summon up the determination and dedication to make that career happen. This is my life, my path, and my goal. I will do whatever it takes to achieve my life dream: to be able to make a living off my craft, my passion, and my love; my writing.
Do I seem motivated enough yet? Well, I'm pretty sure I'm motivated enough. Time to get to work: I'm off! Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!
