WriMos!
December 13th 2009 19:31
Well, there are a lot more WriMos than I've realized. In fact, I have a browser window open and full of tabs for different WriMos, so I'm going to split this up into two posts again. There are, it seems, a lot of challenges in February.
For those of you who love Nanowrimo, who love the community, the passion, all of that good stuff, there are a number of challenges that are offspring of Nanowrimo. These challenges tend to have much smaller, more close knit communities (many of the people you can find on the Nano boards come November) but they are still great people to take the challenge with.
I'm putting together a two part comprehensive list. This is the first part.
January
JanNo I've never really participated in this one, but from what I've heard it's a high quality wrimo with a very close knit community. This might make you feel like an outsider at the beginning, but most participants are quite welcoming when you join any wrimo. In this Wrimo you can choose your own goal.
February
FebNo-from what I've heard, FebNo will probably be hosted on the Janno website, and is another wrimo where you pick your own goal. More info as it arrives.
FAWM February Album Writing Month, a challenge to write 14 songs in 28 days. Not having any musical talent (I believe part of the challenge is recording the songs) I have never participated in this challenge, but I know a few people who have who have quite enjoyed it. Who knows, maybe you'll find a talent you never knew you had.
FnTEDMo this site looks like it might be a year round challenge; this is a challenge that focuses on finishing projects.
Interactive Fiction Month is a challenge for those of us who write choose your own adventure type books.
March
NaNoEdMo a challenge to spend 50 hours editing your novel in one month.
April
April Fools this is a challenge where you pick your word count goal for the month and then write frantically.
Script Frenzy the only official offspring of Nano, OLL has provided us with Screnzy, a script writing challenge. The goal last year was 100 pages of script and will probably be the same or similar this year.
Thanks for reading.

I've been keeping my eye on you leaving you be while you were so flat chat with your writing deadline and then with 2 weeks schoolwork to catch up on.
Our little ~Dianna has grown up now, and is all set to fly like the birds. Look after yourself my little friend and I shall continue to keep my eye on you.
Love,

Thanks for the comment. I'm getting myself back on track now and though there's always something being thrown in the way of my goals life isn't so bad these days.
