Why Do I Write?

I've written about this topic before. But I've been thinking about it a lot lately, so I decided to talk about why I write-not only this blog, but everything else that I write.

I write because without writing, I would be locked away with no outlet to express myself...

I write because it's an instinct, it's what I do when I'm put under tremendous pressure or when I'm happier than I've been in a long time...

I write because I love it, and it's so much fun...

I write because I want to help people...

I write because I want to be able to touch just one person's life with my writing, the way that so many writers have touched mine...

I write because I want to change the world with my words and my point of view...

I write because to not write would be to be a completely different person than who I am...

I write because I want to do something creative...

I write because I have stories to tell-some of them mine, some of them not...

That is why I write.

I think inspiration comes in many, many forms...this piece made me examine why I love writing so much...and that was something I remember losing touch of a while ago.

Also, they'll be people who will be inspired by your writing and not even know it...some perhaps may not tell you....I think you are doing a terrific job!
