Thoughts and a Good Blog

I am currently sitting at 125K, and according to my math today, my math yesterday really, really sucked and I'm actually about 20K behind where I need to be. I'm working out the details of how I'm going to catch up on that, but I have faith in myself that I can do it and that I will make the 400K at the end of this month, bar untimely death of me or someone close to me.
I am coming to the end of Phoenix Falling and I must say that I am amazed with how this book has turned out. It has tied in with Moonshadow's Guardian, and the suspicion I've had all this time that these worlds were connected and in the same universe has indeed been confirmed, in a beautiful and heartbreaking tale.
I'm really proud of all that I have done and learned with this book, mostly the things I've discovered about my world and about some of the characters in it. This story of the Council sets things up very nicely for the two holy wars which happen later on. I'm still not sure which I'm going to look for publication with first, but I've worked out a lot of stuff with this book, and I will be using it as a basis for all of my other novels.
At this point in time I'm closing in on the end of Phoenix Falling, so tomorrow I intend to finish the book. Once it is finished I'm going to write a short story that someone requested and then I'm going to decide what I want to do next in terms of novels. There is one that I already started that I think is sitting somewhere around 20K, the story and characters of which I do like but I don't love.
But I'm seriously considering starting in on the next book of the Jihad series because I feel like now I have a running start. So tomorrow I'll be finishing up Phoenix Falling and writing a short fic for a friend of mine, and as I do that I'm going to start brainstorming potential ideas for my next novel, and I'm going to do a brainstorm with each of the ideas that I have for books in the Jihad series, and books which will be connected to it but not actually part of it.
Phoenix Falling has given me a lot of great background information for all of the worlds that I have worked in and many more that I might work in someday, and I'm full of ideas for new books to write and stories to consider.
I'm hoping to also write a couple more myths this month, because I really do want to write and publish that collection.
While wandering the Nanowrimo forums, I found a link to a Nanoer's blog about writing, and it runs in a similar vein to Limyaael's. Here's a link to some good stuff:
Atsiko's Chimney
It is a fantasy-centered writing blog and it's full of good stuff for fantasy writers, so take a look when you need a break from your Nano and I'm sure you'll find something of value.
