The Final Sprint

The next two days make up (for people who aren't Australian) the last weekend of November. This is a good time to pull off a couple of crazy five or seven or ten thousand word days if you're behind. Sprint, word war, cut yourself off from the outside world until you've written however much you need to to be either back on track or done.
For those of you who are ready to give up, try one last push. You might not hit fifty thousand words but if you have the determination and the faith in yourself you'll at least get a good chunk of writing done.
For those who are behind but not ready to give up, I wish you luck. I hope that this weekend will be productive for all of us-because I'm right with you guys, way behind where I want to be, even if it's more than fifty thousand-and that you'll find the time to write in spite of whatever might be scheduled in the way of your writing.
For those who have won and who don't want to write anymore-congratulations. You've accomplished something great. You've written 50, 000 words of fiction. Now hide it somewhere where you aren't likely to look for a while, and go read a book. Or play some video games. Or watch a movie. Whatever you like. In fact, if you've finished your novel, if you want to keep writing it's probably a bad idea.
Stick with the rest of us and in a month or two we'll go back to our novels and start the editing process.
