Saying Goodbye

I'm saying goodbye today;
Saying goodbye...
To your memory
To everything you meant to me.

To the man I fell in love with;
Not the man I made you be.

I brought out the worst in you;
And you brought out the worst in me;
And now I'm moving on,
I'm going forward,
Can't turn back.

This is my last goodbye;
You're no longer in my life,
I don't miss you,
I have so much to look forward to-


You don't want to see who I am now.
You don't want to know what I've become.
You don't want to see the people I see;
You don't want to live this life with me.

And that's okay,
I know who you are now too,
I don't want to see you
Or the people you see
I don't want to live by your side.

Because I can finally see something good;
I can see there may be a bright side to life-
The darkness is relenting,
Soon I will be free.

And so here I am,
Saying goodbye,
As I move on,
Into my new life.
