What I Have To Do

Darkness engulfs me
My world is once again without a sun
Only disappointment
And distrust
Are real to me again...

For the one that wants me
Is the one I will never want-
And the one I long for
May soon be gone,
So I take my chances
Playing carefully,
Spinning myself a web of lies,
To catch one fly;

And trying to free the truth
To build a web of kindness and trust
To catch the one I want;
To keep one blind
And make one mine
Is my only goal.
