Prompt: Slipping

October 16th 2008 17:26
Slipping
----------
I just wanted to tell you
That I'm slipping and I'm scared,
I don't want to go back there,
But the hands of darkness are pulling,
And we all know how strong they can be.

I just wanted to tell you,
Before I slip too far
That I want to see you,
And that I will never forget
Any little detail of your presence.

I just wanted to tell you
That I'm slipping and I'm scared,
Please try to save me,
I can't go back there,
I can't live through this again.

I'm slipping through the cracks,
This world has lost its love for me,

I am the abandoned child,
That is all I will ever be.

I'm slipping and I'm scared,
Of what I might become;
The monster that might take me
And destroy what I really am.

I'm slipping and I'm scared,
Of losing you and all you mean to me,
Because I think you're the only one left
Who might be able to save
A little drip of sanity.

I'm slipping,
Slipping through the cracks in the world's light,
Falling into the darkness,
And believe me, the dark is vast and wide,
I will be soon lost within its depths,
I'm slipping and I'm scared,
And only you can save me,
And that's only a maybe,
Because soon it will be too late.

I'm slipping
So please hurry to my aid;
Catch me,
And I will be yours again.

----
Your turn.

There is much feeling and fear here Dianna, just keep those tides of darkness at bay.

This poem is not autobiographical, is it?

There's a heap of people out there who love you, don't just slip away, we are all frail human beings , each can only give in their different ways, but the one we long for most, so often, just is not there.

Don't chase the elusive dream, one day he'll slip completely out of sight. It'll happen, eventually.

And the you will be FREE.

It's not autobiographical, it's just the only thing that I wrote that came out properly today. I can't write anything happy.

Don't worry, I'm not chasing anything; at least, I might walk after it, but I'm not running for anything.
