Hatred

You hate me;
You will not say it
But I can tell by the look in your eyes-
You hate me,
Do you wish that I would die?
You hate me
For all that I am
And all that you can never be;
Your eyes are those of jealousy.
You hate me,
For what you say
That I have done wrong,
In the end,
You've agreed all along-
You're just so afraid
To be real.
You hate me
Because I am free
To be who I want to be,
Because noone and nothing
Will ever hold me back,
I will not be held down,
I will not be led off track.
You hate me,
Because I am moving forward
Reaching for what I truly want
Doing all that I can
To be who I want to be;
Because I am aware
Of my path
And I don't care
How difficult it may be.
You hate me,
Because you live in fear
Fear of breaking the mold,
Of being hated
For being like me;
Because I fear only
To be trapped like you.
So hate me;
But remember,
I would hate to be you.
