Fiction Factor: Outlining
The above is an article about outlining which some of you may find useful. It lists three different types of outline and describes them briefly with advantages and disadvantages. It's a good article on a great website for writers at every stage in their career.
There are also a couple outline-related questions that I would like to ask you guys, the readers. I gather you guys don't want to comment for whatever reason, because I rarely get comments, and when I do they're usually from one of two people. But I'm going to put the question out there and hope I get more of an answer this time.
The first question is what types of outlining methods have you tried? I'm looking to review a number of different types of outline. If you've tried a method of outlining, the information for which can be found online, either comment here with pros and cons of that method of outlining (and a brief description, plus a link to the article/site that talks about the outline) or send me an email with a critique of the method at diannalgunn@gmail.com
The second question is what is your favourite way to outline?
Leave a comment with your answers or email me at diannalgunn@gmail.com. I'd love to hear your opinions.
I will not be posting again until sometime tomorrow (Monday).
