Happy Thanksgiving! (And prompt)
October 11th 2010 18:48
I'm not posting an exercise today because it's Thanksgiving here in Canada. I'm also starting the Muse Online Writer's conference today. I do, however, have a prompt for you today. Today's exercise will be posted tomorrow and will be about creating a calendar.
Write 750 words about Thanksgiving.

Links in usual location.
I'm all out of synch with what should be posted. The above links are HISTORY and VILLAIN. I wrote these two as book-ends ... connected by largely related to the same events and seen through different eyes. Hope you enjoy them.
These were both hard to to becuase there was so much that I left out (but perhaps just as well to leave fodder for other random prompts). I worked hard on them and feel they are over worked perhaps. The VILLAIN one, I wrote three times - completely different each time - but each time getting closer to what the real point was. I think I started to get it once I asked myself - of everything I know, what do I most want known?
I think this is all for now. I see I am now down another ... Thanksgiving ... is the newest. There is an idea ... perhaps tonight after I can't think I will write something.
Hope you have an awesome thanksgiving!
Cheers!

Fictional Worlds
You might be a little behind but I'm quite impressed with your writing capability. Villain is a great piece; of course I'm cheering for Elgin. Glad to see him proving his worth.
History is touching and heartbreaking. It brings up all sorts of questions about Moira. It fascinates. The letter at the end is especially beautifully written.
As always I quite enjoyed these pieces
Thanks for sharing,
