Exhaustion and Excitement

April 21st 2010 12:28
I've spent the last few days relaxing and reading a book that I'm going to be reviewing on Friday. I've only gotten one chapter of my book written, but after playing intense catch up last week, I feel justified to this break.

The next few days here are going to be very busy. Tomorrow I'll be posting links to some blog posts, Friday I'll be launching a book review and giveaway, Sunday I'll be writing the first pre-Dear Diary post on this blog, and on Monday or Tuesday I should be posting an interview. I'll also be launching the new website either this weekend or early next week.

Today I'm just going to write a chapter of Phoenix Falling and read as much of my book for review as I can. I hope all of you have something to read today too.

You certainly do sound busy, Dianna! Way to go! I think it's wonderful that you have so many projects going, and I'd say that after the week you've had, you've definitely earned some down time--if you can call reading a book for a book review "down time." When you enjoy reading, though, it feels great--even if you are reading it for your "work."

I'm not really doing too much reading lately--other than the reading I do for research or my blog reading. Just have too many writing projects to complete right now. It's great to be busy, though, and have lots of paid assignments--even though the deadlines can be hectic and the projects challenging at times.

Wishing you every success with all your projects. And may you find many more opportunities for rest and relaxation in between.

Love,
Jeanne

Jeanne,

R&R comes when my grandmother is home, often enough. She works nights and babysits like it was her full time job. About once a week we go out for a walk and something to eat. It's great.

I enjoy being busy... I just find it unfortunate that my noveling efforts have been lagging because of this. I miss summer, when school doesn't exist.

Those times spent with your grandmother sound nice.

Even when we like being busy, there are still only so many hours in a day and so much energy we can muster, so there's always a limit to how much we can accomplish. School definitely can put a damper on our other activities, so I can see why you're longing for summer. It will come, though, and will be a well-earned reward for all your hard work.

Jeanne,

Absolutely... And hopefully I'll get all my credits this time around.
