Death

This is what happened when I did a free write... it's one of my creative writing exercises for school.

Free Write-Death

Death is inevitable. All things that live must die. It may take them one day, or a year, or three, or a decade, or a century, maybe even a few centuries, but we must all die. We must face death, and we must learn not to fear death.
It hurts when someone you're close to dies, no matter if it's a pet or a parent. You know you will never see that person in their physical form again. You will never get another chance to hug them, or to tell them how much you love them. You have lost that person physically. But when you lose someone close to you you must keep the memory of that person in your heart. You must remember all that they meant to you, all that they have done for you, and all that they would want for you to do and to be.
Knowing that you will die you must live your life to the fullest. So far as we know, you only live once. I personally believe in reincarnation, but we don't really have any way of proving it. And knowing that I might not get another chance at life, I know that I must live my life as best I can.
You need to remember that you can die at any time. You risk your life every time you cross the street. You risk your life every time you stand up for what you believe in to someone you don't know who might just have a gun in their pockets. But you have to take those risks to live life to the fullest, to enjoy your life. Every time you get in a car, you're risking a car accident. Every time you get on a plane, you're taking the risk that you might die in a plane crash.
You must learn not to fear death so that you are willing to take risks for the things that you believe in and for the people that you love. You must realize that death is just another adventure, the mysterious beyond, and accept that some day you will die. You must use your knowledge that death is not something to fear so that you are able to take risks, but you also need to realize that you only have so much time so that you are willing to work your hardest and have the most fun you possibly can.
I believe that we all have a purpose on this planet. I believe in destiny to an extent. I think that we chose the path we take but that in the end our destination is chosen for us. I believe that I will choose my own path to becoming a writer, but that my destiny is to tell stories to people all over the planet. I also believe that the world will work to keep us alive, and will protect us from death, until we have done what we are meant to do. For some people this protection fails, or we take a path so distant from what we are meant to do that we can never return to our destinies, and so those people die before their time, but for most of us, we will not die until our work on this planet is done.
What does this mean? It means that you should work to build a future, work towards your goals, but celebrate your life and enjoy every day like it's your last. Who knows, the world might end in 2012, or it might not. Work like it won't and party like it will. Live your life with passion and be the best person that you can be, the best friend that you can be, the best lover that you can be.
Do not fear death. Accept it, know that someday it will come for you, and do your best to enjoy your life while it's here.
