A Brief Note and a Poem
May 13th 2010 12:59
Not much for me to say today. Last night I went out and spent some time with friends I hadn't seen in a while. It was cold and wet but I was too happy to care, seeing everyone after so long. I wrote some amazing poetry in my own journal, and I'm about to start writing the Demon's entry for today.
The edit of Phoenix Falling has slowed almost to a halt, I'm liable to drown in homework any day now, and my other fiction projects have stalled massively, but my poetry journal is filling up pretty quickly. I'm tired, frustrated, sick of school, sick of mornings, but I'm soldiering on. I love to write, and I'll keep doing it until the day I die.
Yesterday evening I posted a poem from my poetry journal over at my personal blog, which you can read by following this link.
Tomorrow's post will be full of links that I hope will help you both with your Dear Diary project and with your writing work in general.

Life periodically gets in the way and - if life is providing a value (education, salary, some other reward) - then it's worth enjoying from time to time.
I write at home. I write other stuff at work. But it's all writing - just with different aims and ends. If at home it's not Nano or SFrenzy, then it's fanfic. If not fanfic, then journal material or illustrated journals or letters.
It all counts. Every last word. Same for you.
Also - on the bright side - sometimes when life forces a limited amount of writing, one appreciates it all the more. Sort of a reconfirmation that one really does love this. : )
Latest is here ...
Really Long Link
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's links! : )
Cheers!

I'd really rather be writing books than doing math class, regardless of how much I'm learning. That's what accountants are for.
I'm very tired and stretched out way too far between friends, school, and writing, but I can't help it. I love my friends, and I love my writing, and whether or not I love my school I'm stuck with it-and I like it well enough.
I found out today that my summer starts a week earlier than I thought-and a week earlier than everyone else's (HA)-which is a relief, even though it means more work now. It also means I get to run away from Toronto sooner
And bone marrow is interesting food for vampires. I like it.
