5 Great Blog Posts This Week In Writing
September 24th 2009 12:38
Today's post is a list of five blog posts. Considering that I spent much of last night catching up on my Google reader, having been busy with school and events the last two days and not having been home, I figured I would prepare this post for the morning. So here are five great posts that I've read this week:
~With Worldbuilding, Every Word Counts a post talking about details in worldbuilding. He talks about how much detail you should go into when building your worlds. From the prospective of a guy with a PHD in history, it's interesting.
~Building Block Book Marketing a post about marketing your book outside of Facebook/Twitter. As I don't like Twitter and I prefer to use Facebook for personal communication, I like this post. Those of us who are not even considering book publication at this point, like myself, can still learn from these things. It's good to learn these things earlier rather than later.
~Blogging To Learn A post at Problogger talking about blogging when you are not an expert but you are passionate about something. One thing I would like to say is that I have learned quite a bit about my passion, writing, through blogging. Not just because of the aspect that it encourages me to write daily, but also because I've wanted to be able to share more with my readers, and knowing that I have readers-however many or few there might be-encourages me to keep writing.
~Stealing The Future this post talks about a 45 minute video that talks about intellectual property and copyright, useful for people interested in eBooks and other such things. I haven't had time to watch the video yet but this is a good blog and I'm sure I'll enjoy it when I sit down to watch it later on.
~Why Science Fiction is Hard To Read a post about the difference between science fiction and most other genres, and why it is harder to read at times than Fantasy.
Nothing too long this week. I've already given you guys plenty of reading material.
