This is a list of paying poetry markets.
1. Chizine a magazine focusing on horror. Accepts fiction and book reviews as well as poetry. Pays US $10/poem.
2. Dreams And Nightmares accepts poetry and flash fiction, mostly poetry. Tough market. Pays $10 2 contributor's copies upon publication. Looks for fantasy and science fiction.
3. Emerald Tales accepts short stories up to 4, 000 words on the theme for the issue, serial short stories up to 24, 000 words, and poems up to 50 lines on the theme. Payment for short stories is $40 US for each installment and payment for poetry is $20 US. I'm hoping to submit to this magazine for their Winter Solstice issue.
4. Grasslimb Journal looking for poetry (submit 4-6 pieces at once) short fiction of under 3,000 words, 1-2 thousand preferred, and artwork. Pays $5-20 US for poetry and $10-70 for prose, $15-25 for book reviews. Response time is 3-4 months.
5. Ninth Letter Arts this magazine is accepting fiction, poetry, interviews, and essays from September First to April 30th 2010. Poetry submissions should be 3-6 poems and fiction should be under 8, 000 words, one story at a time. They pay $25/printed page.
