Facing My Past

Hi everyone; sorry I've been unable to post. My laptop still has not been replaced. This is a post to let you all know I'm alive and a quick poem. Some things that brought me a lot of pain last year have returned. Tomorrow I will face them; I will end this war with my past.
Facing My Past
I promised you
That I love you
That I trust you
I told you no lies;
They controlled me.
But no more.
They have no power
Over me.
It is time to face the past
The past I have
Ignored for so long;
That I have
Hidden from
Praying
It would not come to this.
But so it has
And even now
I prepare to go
I prepare
To face the demons which haunt me;
They have ruined me twice
They will not ruin me again.
I promised you I love you
And that I trust you;
And I do
With every fiber of my being.
Please
Forgive me;
They did it to me
Wormed their way
Into my head
To try and tear us apart
And now
I will tear them apart.
